This is the first article in an exciting brand new mini-series: Tropical Thursdays with Mr. Parr. Every Thursday, we will ask our high school history teacher, Mr. Parr, a fun question and take a photograph of him wearing his Tropical Thursday shirt.

Question: What started Tropical Thursday?

Mr. Parr: “When I was in high school, one of the retired teachers passed away. To remember him, all of the students began wearing a tropical shirt because he was a big fan of Margaritaville and he would always wear a tropical shirt on Thursday.”
