Kids often leave baskets out to be filled with candy and small gifts. People also have feasts with traditional foods like ham, lamb, or roast dishes. In Germany, they have hot cross buns, which are spiced buns with a cross on top. In some cultures, foods are also blessed at church before being eaten.

There are also parades and festivals in some places for Easter, like the New York City Easter Parade, where people wear elaborate hats. Even in Poland, people splash each other with water for fun and good luck. In Brazil, Passion plays reenact the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Many people celebrate differently, whether it’s religious or not.

The Easter Bunny is one of the main parts of the holiday in many countries, but in Australia, the Easter Bilby replaces the bunny since rabbits are considered pests there. Some people dress up, usually kids dressing as Easter witches in Sweden, and go door to door for candy during Easter. It does not matter how you celebrate Easter because it is a community holiday for everyone. People celebrate Easter with their loved ones and make sure they have a good time, and that’s all that matters, whether they celebrate it religiously or not.
