Wolfpack Thrashes Junior High Lady Bulldogs
On Friday November 26, the middle school girls basketball team traveled to Crawford County to take on the Wolfpack. Instead of only playing an 8th grade game, like they typically do, they played two games – one against Crawford County’s 7th grade team and another against their 8th grade team. Both teams played well, but ended up getting beat. The 7th grade team lost 43-7, and the 8th grade game was defeated by a score of 38-3.
In the 7th grade game, seventh grader Kylie Anastasiades scored 5 points, with one three and a jump shot. Scoring the other 2 points was seventh grader Makayla Hulse.
Coach Mike why he thinks that the team lost the game because of “Turnovers, ball control, and the officiating didn’t help much either.” Coach Mike added, “We need to work on getting the ball moving, looking for open cutters and see the floor better.”
Coach Mike is proud of his girls, saying that two of the things that the team did best are “Handling the adversity and never quitting.”
The junior high girls basketball team will travel to Cloverport to take on the Aces for the second time this season on December 4.
