Softball is starting soon, and we are practicing already. We have helped design the softball jerseys and can’t wait to play. Our coach is Edie, and she is also the coach for volleyball. We are sponsored by Iron Gate. We are kind of playing a rec league type of softball, but we aren’t playing age groups. We will verse other schools’ teams and will be playing at the Tell City field. The Tell City field is our home field, but we practice at the Cannelton field.
We only have 9 girls playing and no eighth graders, so our whole team is 7th, 6th, and 5th graders. We were going to have 11, but 2 quit before it even started. Last year we mentioned having a team, but never did because we only had 7 girls and it was too late to start a team, so this is our first year playing. I can’t wait to play, and the team is amazing. We all get along and have no drama. It is the best team you could ever ask for.
