The Pandemic Diaries: Bria
As Cannelton City Schools temporarily goes virtual for two weeks, our HiLife Staff documents their experiences.
During quarantine, I have found what keeps me busy and entertained. Unlike last time when I was doing eLearning, I have found a way to keep a good sleep schedule and do my work all completely organized and lazily. I wake up at around 8 to get ready for the day, eat breakfast and turn on my chromebook. I then go to my first zoom call with my English class and spend 15-20 minutes on there. After the zoom call is finished, I complete as much work as I can before my Algebra l class starts at 10:00 and ends at 10:20.
Once my Algebra l class starts, I do my best to refocus on actual people talking and interacting with me and follow along with today’s lesson. After we end the zoom call at 10:20, I complete all of my Algebra work before I eat a quick lunch and focus back in for Science.
I complete all of my science work as soon as I am finished eating and I go to my history assignments. I complete all of my history assignments, and take a pretty long break before high ability starts. High ability starts at 2:15 and at around 2 I turn my chromebook on and get ready to join the zoom call. At 2:40, if all of my work isn’t finished then I go back and complete everything and turn it in. The rest of my day is spent relaxing and finding what brings me joy.
